Bottle: Euroa Creeks Shiraz

Euroa Creeks...

2006 Euroa Creeks Reserve Shiraz   $55

This wine was awarded third prize in the competitive 2008 Great Australian Shiraz Challenge. Supplies are very limited. To read more about the Euroa Creeks range, visit the website: euroacreeks.com

2006 Euroa Creeks Early Harvest Shiraz   $28

This wine is made from a small 7 acre vineyard in Euroa that was managed under the guidance of David Lloyd of Eldridge Estate who also supervised the harvest, crushed the grapes in the field before bringing the mix of skin and juice back to Eldridge Estate for fermentation and subsequent barrel aging of the wine. The wine contains 1% Viognier grown by Hugh and Isabelle Robinson at Moorooduc on the Mornington Peninsula that adds a hint of apricot flavour.

Huon Hooke gave this wine 94 points and says
"It's elegant with cherry, plum and subtle mint aromas.
Fresh, bright, beautifully balanced with a lingering finish.
Drink now, or cellar for up to 10 years."
Sydney Morning Herald Good Living, Nov 20, 2007.

Newspaper Clipping of Ralphy Kyte-Powell's review of our 2005 Single Clone Chardonnay

Melb Age Jan 2007

Ralph Kyte-Powell reviewed our 2005 Single Clone Chardonnay in The Age's Uncorked feature.

Eldridge Estate is one of the Mornington Peninsula's most dynamic makers of chardonnay and pinot noir. This clonally selected chardonnay is slightly wild and very complex, with earth, mineral, cashew, citrus and ginger spice characters, a smooth, smoky palate of subtlety and finesse, and a long dry finish.
Ageing? Drink over two years.
Food ideas: Lobster, salmon, sashimi
Stockists include: Armadale Cellars; Brighton Fine Wines
