Creamy, nutty and mealy complexities crowd the nose. The palate is complex, powerful and intense with rich but balanced flavours of nuts, fig, peach and pear, as well as subtle toasty notes. Fruit dominated with real refinement and complexity.
The wine is very bright in the glass with a slight green tint on the edge. The nose is nutty with a hint of peach. The palate has a creamy texture, good acid balance with citrus and a hint of melon. It has a nice zing on the finish.
Food match : Freshly shucked oysters or wild mushroom risotto.
The grapes were whole bunch pressed using a gentle air bag press with carbon dioxide cover to retain the varietal fruit character. The juice was fermented in 80% new French Oak with some solids before being moved to 30% new oak for a further 9 months.

This is our second commercial release of Pf. A blend of Chardonnay (55%) Pinot Noir (35%) and Pinot Meunier (10%) with an oak component that adds a little extra tannin and subtle complexity, with fruit, yeast and richness that bubbles along with a very fine bead.
