2007 Pinot Noir Clone MV6
There is a small quantity of this wine available. Limit 2 bottles per order.
The nose has intense red berry aromas with a little spicy dried herbs. The palate has bright red berry fruit flavours that give way to dark cherry and a hint of savoury spices.
It has length, balance and clean fruit with sufficient fine tannins to allow it to age well for three to five years.
Food match : Rack of lamb or Moussaka.
This wine is made in the vineyard from our two patches of clone MV6. The bunches are destemmed but the resulting skin and juice mix contains 80% whole berries. A 3 day pre-fermentation cold soak preceded a natural ferment with no yeast being added. The wines were pressed in our gentle air bag press (see winemakers diary under the Cellar Door web page) and then aged in French oak barrels from a range of tonnelleries.
