2009 Pinot Noir Clonal Blend

Dark garnet colour. Aromas of bright red cherry and a hint of musk, very enticing! The palate has beautiful balance as it slides down revealing firstly maraschino cherry and then a little damsel plum. The finish is tight with great structure and oozing maraschino cherry showing palate weight, length and structure.

Bright hue; an impressive bouquet with an abundance of red fruits and a hint of spice is followed by a detailed palate; here touches of undergrowth add complexity to the flavour and the structure of the wine, effectively a reserve blend of the six clones planted on the estate.

Food match: Roast Duck

This wine contains almost even amounts of each of our 6 Pinot clones (MV6, 114, 115, 777, G5V15 and Pommard). The bunches were destemmed and the whole berries had a 6 day prefermentation cold soak before the wild yeast started the fermentation. The wine was aged in 60% new French oak and 40% 2nd use casks.
